"IS EVERYBODY IN, THE CEREMONY IS ABOUT TO BEGIN"
During my stays in Varanasi I mainly ate in the hotel restaurants but there are many cool places with varied menus hidden away in the alleyways and narrow streets. The Mona Lisa Cafe and German Bakery was my favourite, food was delicious and the staff were very helpful and friendly, I would recommend the Varanasi thali and of course the naughty cake section
Ramnager Fort is well worth a visit, situated on the opposite bank to the ghats and close to the Ramnager Bridge. An 18th century fort in Mughal style, dark rooms contain museum style exhibits, another small room holds photos of the rich and famous posing with the Maharajah. Down a corridor towards the Ganges you find a small Temple, the fort also houses a small collection of classic cars.
Two days in Varinasi is plenty enough to see the main attractions, you would need weeks to experience everything. Once you get over the initial intensity there is no doubt that Varanasi is one of the most compelling destinations in the world!
Thank you for joining me on my ventures to Varanasi, I hope you enjoyed it.
